The Adaptation Process of DRUCK
摘要
In March 2018, the youth series DRUCK (G 2018–) was published on Funk, the online media service of ARD and ZDF for 14- to 29-year-olds. Different platforms were used for the publication, following the model of SKAM (Norway 2015–2017, NRK). Behind the production of DRUCK is the adaptation of that successful Norwegian series. Both the characters and the plot were culturally adapted. Likewise, the distribution strategy of transmedia storytelling was adopted. Against the background of the classification of DRUCK and SKAM in the so-called Teen TV, the cultural adaptation process and the transmedia strategy are presented. Special focus will be put on casting, narration and aesthetics. In this way, the differences and similarities between the two youth series will be elaborated.
