Conclusion and Outlook

This brief chapter is the summary of the book. It outlines the major changes as well as the societal challenges we are facing. Not only businesses, but also non-profit organizations are increasingly in the public focus and their role and legitimacy are being questioned. Therefore, the relevance of values and principles is increasing, not only as a theoretical construct, but as a guide and action plan. This is particularly true for cooperations between the two sectors. How these cooperations can be set up in a sustainable, solid and credible way has been outlined in this book and backed up with two practical tools: a roadmap for equal partnerships and a code for transparent collaboration.
