Doing research in times when certainties and unquestioned presumptions of the Western world have started to be put into question, ignoring the pressing concerns stressed by post- and decolonial perspectives would be tantamount to maintaining and defending the status quo of a social theory and social research that still comprises assumptions and practices tainted with Eurocentric implications and discriminatory consequences.
