Leadership in Conflict—Discrepancy between Desire and Reality

Women want to lead, but differently than men. They usually have a higher value system and are disgusted by the microaggressions of male decision-makers. They disappear, go on parental leave, then return part-time and run the department as a secret boss in the background. In this way, they do not have to take on great responsibility, the fear of failing or falling short remains small.
