Quality Development of Vocational Education and Training in India: Supporting and Restraining Factors

In India, the quality of vocational education and training (VET) has frequently been criticised in past years. Despite many improvement efforts, challenges in different areas of VET quality prevail. This paper considers possibilities for self-directed quality development at the meso-level of VET institutions.
