Excursus: Suicidality and Bullying

Suicide is one of the ten leading causes of death in Western countries, and among young people it is the second leading cause of death. Suicide is therefore a serious social problem. The following article first clarifies what is meant by suicidality and presents epidemiological findings on suicidality. It is to be noted that suicide rates vary greatly depending on the country and age group.
