Regional Trends in Political Fact-Checking
摘要
The outlined interrelations of the different logics of political fact-checking with their respective media systems reflect, in broader geographic patterns, the community of fact-checkers. They reveal striking similarities among fact-checking initiatives in countries with similar historical developments and comparable media system characteristics. The patterns allow for a further review of the study’s findings against the backdrop of a larger population and the appraisal of their significance and potential effects in terms of the different public sphere models.
