  • Laurens Lauer

摘要

The previous remarks set out the differences and similarities between the investigated fact-checking initiatives, and the following analysis will structure and systematize them into institutional logics of political fact-checking. It is, however, essential to take a moment to realize the common cause of these organizations so as not to lose track of their shared key concern: that is, the ambition to provide the public with reliable information about political affairs to maintain or improve democratic self-governance. The idea of political fact-checking serves first of all as a suitable tool to select substantial political matters and analyze their state of affairs in an evidence-based way.
