Heat Transfer

In section 9, different forms of heat transfer are dealt with in tasks: heat radiation, heat conduction and heat transfer; over-all heat transfer is dealt with as the summarising process of heat conduction and heat transfer. In tasks, the theory of similarity is used to understand the processes of convection and heat transfer. Also, aspects of heat transfer for practical applications are presented in tasks. Furthermore, as forms of partition wall heat exchangers, the unidirectional flow heat exchanger and the counterflow heat exchanger are treated in tasks; heat transfer with phase transition is also discussed. Finally, the design of heat exchangers in tasks is described in detail, with reference to operating characteristic (effectiveness).
