The Second Law of Thermodynamics

Section 3 contains tasks on the second law of thermodynamics. This includes tasks on reversible and irreversible processes (on irreversible processes with friction, temperature equalisation, pressure equalisation, throttling). Furthermore, tasks are presented on the question of whether state functions and state variables exist or not. Using the entropy S as a state variable, tasks show how the extent of irreversibility of state changes and processes can be quantified.
