The First Law of Thermodynamics
摘要
Section 2 contains tasks with solutions on the principle of conservation of energy (first law of thermodynamics). This principle states that in an isolated system, the sum of all energies remains constant during energy conversion processes. The tasks refer to the following energies, among others: mechanical energy (potential energy, kinetic energy), work and thermal energy (internal energy, heat, enthalpy). As manifestations of work, the volume change work, the coupling work, the shift work, the pressure change work and the friction work are dealt with. Energy balances for the closed system and for the open system are discussed in more detail. Furthermore, the heat capacity and the specific heat capacity for solids and liquids as well as for gases are discussed in tasks. In addition, flow processes in the open system are calculated.
