Oilscapes of Louisiana

Having developed a working concept of oilscapes in the preceding section, we will apply this concept to Louisiana in this chapter. The focus of this chapter is on Oilscape 1, as the explicit Oilscape 2 and Oilscape 3 references will not be addressed until subsequent chapters. Because of the inherent importance of Landscape 3 in general, and particularly Oilscape 3, as well as the irreducibility of World 2 to the construction of World 1 and 3 (corresponding to Landscape, Oilscape, etc.), references to Oilscape 2 and 3 will also be made repeatedly throughout this chapter.
