ICT-Enable Teacher Professional Development from the Pedagogical Dimension for 21st Century: A Preliminary Analysis of the ICT Integration of CONTESSA Modules
摘要
Technology is an integral part of twenty-first century education. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is at the forefront of developing knowledge and skills, which clearly implies that ICT competencies are compulsory for a teacher towards imparting twenty-first century education. Introducing ICT-Enabled teacher learning is a long process. However, the first step in the process would be to develop trainee teachers in an ICT-enabled professional development program. The CONTESSA project has introduced five online modules for a complete primary teacher education program. This chapter aims to make an analysis of the ICT Integration in developing the CONTESSA modules as an online professional development approach. The analysis is done by adapting the UNESCO ICT Standards and Competencies in Designing ICT-Enabled Education Settings from the Pedagogical Dimension.
