Ontological Instrumentalism, the Autotelic, and the Impossible Identity of Education
摘要
How can one write about Laclau and education when his work is not properly about education? Differently, how is it possible to think education in terms that are not proper to it without also committing education to what isnʼt educational? In the absence of the non-educational, what then is education itself? These questions provide the impetus for what we pursue as an argument about the role of the instrumental in education. We have written together and separately about Laclau and education under the assumption that his work provides some insight into thinking about education.
