Alevis and Turkish-Muslims in Austria: History and Current Developments

Interest in Muslims and Islam has not only increased since 9/11. In Austria, Islam was for a long time associated only with Turkish immigration. Since the migration movements from various Muslim countries due to war and civil wars, for example, the multifaceted nature of Islam in Austria has increased. This article focuses on the development of the Islam Law and how individual Turkish-Muslim and Alevi communities have benefited from it.
