“I’ve Learnt Everything I Know from the World.”

Andreas Schleicher (Fig. 4.1) is Director for Education and Skills at the OECD. He initiated and oversees the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) and other international instruments that have created a global platform for policymakers, researchers, and educators across nations and cultures to innovate and transform educational policies and practices—and that have stimulated discussion on competence needs of today’s and future learners. In this conversation, we focus on Andreas Schleicher’s pathway to working with Future Skills as well as on future educational concepts for promoting them.
