Formative Assessment of 21st Century Skills

Since 2016, the Faculty of Information and Communication at Stuttgart Media University has integrated comprehensive key competence modules in all its BA study programs. The aim is to prepare students for a demanding study program as well as an uncertain and therefore challenging future. Part of the modules is a sophisticated formative assessment approach, which supports the individual learning journey of the students. This chapter describes the design of the modules, as well as the assessment setting, in detail.
