Cross-Border Vocational Training in the Polish-German Border Region: A Stakeholder Perspective
摘要
This paper explores the opportunities for cross-border cooperation in vocational education and training in the Polish-German border region and discusses how the relevant policies can be optimised. The opportunities and suggestions for improvement are discussed based on a thematic analysis of semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders from the German-Polish border region. Highlights include new language teaching methods, the value of technical vocabulary, an error-tolerant communication environment, and the need to address asymmetry in the composition of participants. The paper discusses these and further implications for the perceived relevance and effectiveness of cross-border vocational training programs in the border region.
