Triangular Elements – Description of Geometry

A disadvantage of rectangular elements is undeniably the restricted field of application, which, according to Section 4, 5 and 6, is limited to rectangular geometries. Furthermore the mesh refinement, often required, is very inefficent if it covers the whole domain.
