Hans Freyer’s Sociology of the Völkisch Society
摘要
The credit for having examined the role of sociology in the development of a völkisch conception of science for the first time goes to the sociologist Carsten Klingemann. This attribution is part of his opposition to the thesis of the end of sociology in 1933, which has been held for many years. Klingemann not only provides evidence of the further development of sociology beyond 1933 into an application-oriented science, but he also describes the process of the “sociologization” of a number of sciences in the 1930s and 1940s, which is crucial for our argument.
