Model Project LeLA: Integrative Integration – Reflections from Project Practice
摘要
Three regionally substantial educational institutions decided to combine their strengths and initiated a cooperation to start an integration project by the name of “LeLA – Leben-Lernen-Arbeiten” (“LeLA – Living-Learning-Working”). The project combines and interlocks language classes with elements of vocational and social integration. This cooperative concept was a significant factor to receive funding from the European Social Fund (ESF). The article describes tasks and activities of the project staff in 2 years of successful integration work with refugees and migrants. Horizontal aspects such as gender, mobility or qualification are being illustrated and discussed using practical examples. Conclusively, the author identifies factors for successful integration work, which is particularly due to the integrative, cooperative approach of the project.
