This chapter explores how cooperatives can implement circular economy (CE) practices and manage trade-offs between economic, social, and environmental goals. We illustrate the propositions our explorative research suggests with five case studies based on five interviews with CEOs, founders, or managers in the construction and brewing industries. This chapter summarizes how trade-offs can be managed through transparent collective deliberation and territorial anchoring in an iterative and cyclical process.

摘要

This chapter explores how cooperatives can implement circular economy (CE) practices and manage trade-offs between economic, social, and environmental goals. We illustrate the propositions our explorative research suggests with five case studies based on five interviews with CEOs, founders, or managers in the construction and brewing industries. This chapter summarizes how trade-offs can be managed through transparent collective deliberation and territorial anchoring in an iterative and cyclical process.
