These findings have addressed existing problems, met various needs, and offered inspiration for the future. It is widely acknowledged that when a discovery motivates an industry to address a market need, it creates an immediate synergy (sweet spot) between academia, industry, and the market which benefits all. The purpose of this chapter is to broadly explore potential sweet spots in the field of natural products or plant secondary metabolites that can benefit the society without delving deep into the subject and provide a general direction toward identifying sweet spots in this domain.
