ITO Replacements: Carbon Nanotubes
摘要
This chapter focuses on carbon nanotube (CNT), a potential alternative of ITO for display applications. The limitations of ITO as a traditional transparent conductive film (TCF) material are firstly introduced, followed by a detailed comparison and discussion of the performance characteristics of CNT-based TCF as a potential alternative, including scalable manufacturing processes, high electrical conductivity, good transparency and flexibility, neutral color, and excellent chemical stability. The discussion then focuses on the potential applications and commercialization progress of CNTs in various display technologies, including touch panels, liquid crystal displays, field emission displays, and organic light-emitting diode displays. Finally, the chapter reviews the possible challenges and future directions of CNTs as an alternative to ITO, as well as the potential impact on the electronic display field.
