Textsorten, Argumentationsformen, literarische Machart

This chapter deals with Plotinus’ texts as literary philosophical products and discusses their genre and quality and their function in the classroom. The question is raised to what extent Plotinus’ texts show traces of literary composition. The chapter also analyzes whether and to what degree Plotinus’ texts combine philosophical argumentation with persuasive rhetorical strategies.
