摘要
This chapter focuses on the notion of image in Plotinus. It investigates how in the Enneads the totality of realities is conceived as a hierarchy, in which a lower stage is described as the image of a higher one. At first, the vocabulary used by Plotinus to express this notion is examined. Then the presentation falls into two main parts: the formation of image in the intelligible world through self-reflexivity and the constitution of the sensible image through imitation.
