摘要

This contribution deals with the story Mädchen in Uniform (Girls in Uniform) by Christa Winsloe, which was written at the end of the 1930s. The analysis focuses on the multimedia network around this text, that is: its temporal dimension, its geographical reach, and its intertextual relations, some of which to other multimedia networks. The paper starts from the assumption that the story has been this popular up until the present day because it can be perceived quite differently in every single medium (stage manuscript, movie, novel) and because these media reference each other explicitly. The contribution will focus on the complicated reception history of the story, which can be divided into processes guided by the author and those that start after her death. The latter include new productions, new film adaptations as well as radio plays and other adaptations.
