Roboethics is a branch of applied ethics dealing with moral problem-solving in robotics. Exemplary cases concerning increasingly autonomous robotic systems are used to highlight major ethical problems across robotic technologies and systems, to identify recurring problem-solving strategies, and to articulate the soft reflective and deliberative skills that are needed in ethical thinking and deliberation about the development and use of robotic technologies and systems. Moreover, the potential impact of disruptive robotic technologies on the quality and quantity of human work is discussed in connection with human dignity protection and distributive justice principles. The chapter is rounded out by a brief excursus in the history of roboethics and a discussion of professional codes of ethics and ethical virtues for robotics scientists and engineers.

摘要
