SGFLD Syndrome

Although individual cases of splenogonadal fusion were reported as early as 1889 (by Pommer et al.), the whole syndrome was first described by Putschar and Manion in 1956 as a disorder encompassing congenital limb defects, micrognathia, and an abnormal connection between the spleen and the gonads (Putschar and Manion 1956).
