摘要

Comèl-Netherton syndrome (NS) as a syndrome of the skin and hair gets its name from Comel who first proposed the term ichthyosis linearis circumflexa (ILC) for the individual with a congenital form of dermatosis in 1949 (Comel 1949), and Netherton who first described the collection of features that thereafter could be linked to NS in 1958 (Netherton 1958). Netherton reported a 4-year-old girl with abnormalities of the hair shaft, collectively referred to as trichorrhexis invaginata (TI) or the “bamboo” hair, a congenital form of ichthyosiform erythroderma (CIE), and atopic diathesis.
