Darier’s Disease

The disease was first reported as a case in 1889 by the French dermatologist Jean Darier, and its definition was made in the following year by an American dermatologist, James Clarke White (Takagi et al. 2016). Darier disease is a rare autosomal dominant genodermatosis characterized by a persistent eruption of reddish-brown keratotic papules scattered to confluent in a seborrheic distribution, nail abnormalities, pitting of palms and soles, and mucosal changes (Takagi et al. 2016).
