Berlin Ectodermal Dysplasia Syndrome

Ectodermal dysplasia, Berlin type, is a rare congenital disorder consisting of generalized melanoleukoderma, hypodontia, hypotrichosis, infantilism, intellectual disability, and growth delay. The disorder first introduced in two brothers and two sisters in a consanguineous Iranian family, by Dr. Berlin, in 1961 (Berlin 1961). The prevalence of the disorder is <1/1,000,000, and it starts during neonatal period (Center GaRDI).
