摘要

Different neuroradiological presentations have been described in patients with acute severe COVID manifestations, especially in intensive care unit patients: stroke, leptomeningeal contrast enhancement, white or gray matter lesions, spinal cord lesions, or peripheral nervous system involvement. The underlying pathophysiological mechanisms are probably multiple and include direct brain invasion by Sars-Cov-2, or indirect damage to the central nervous system secondary to systemic disease complications, or postinfectious immune-mediated mechanisms. Standardized imaging protocol and structured reporting could be useful in this context.
