Printing is a high-risk industry for occupational dermatitis. Among the many different roles within the printing industry, some are more prone to occupational dermatitis than others, especially contact with acrylates. A wide range of chemicals are used including photosensitive compounds. UV-cured acrylates are one of the main causative agents for occupational allergic contact dermatitis in this industry. High prevalence of irritant contact dermatitis is found among printers and lithographers. Increased risk of malignancy is found among this cohort of workers.
