Embalmers (Including Funeral Service Workers)
摘要
Embalmers and funeral service workers are exposed to skin irritants and allergens and may develop irritant contact dermatitis and allergic contact dermatitis. The most common allergens found in a workplace-based study were formaldehyde and glutaraldehyde. Embalmers may also be at risk for contact urticaria related to latex. They are also at risk for infectious diseases. Students and staff in anatomy laboratories may also have exposure to formaldehyde from the embalmed bodies.
