Dealing with Fungal Infections After Lung Transplantation

Fungal infections are common in lung transplant recipients (LTR), and the associated mortality is high. This chapter explores the unique risk factors and strategies for prevention of fungal infections in LTRs. An approach to diagnosis and management is provided; however, as this field is rapidly evolving, up-to-date guidelines and resources should be consulted when managing patients with fungal infections.
