Primary Ankle Arthrodesis for Severe Tibial Pilon Fracture with Integrated Fixation
摘要
A 45-year-old male was treated for a severely comminuted tibial pilon fracture with primary ankle arthrodesis. Surgical management consisted of temporary spanning external fixation, followed by definitive reconstruction with distal tibial shaft and articular fracture ORIF with ankle arthrodesis. Ilizarov external fixation was used to augment internal fixation.
