When superoscillations are evolved using the Schrödinger equation with nontrivial potentials, a new phenomenon arises, which has been called “supershift.” It appears that this phenomenon is strictly connected with the concept of analyticity, and many studies have been devoted to a clarification of the relationship between these two concepts. While a conclusive response remains elusive, this chapter offers an up-to-date analysis of the situation.

摘要

When superoscillations are evolved using the Schrödinger equation with nontrivial potentials, a new phenomenon arises, which has been called “supershift.” It appears that this phenomenon is strictly connected with the concept of analyticity, and many studies have been devoted to a clarification of the relationship between these two concepts. While a conclusive response remains elusive, this chapter offers an up-to-date analysis of the situation.
