Comic Crafter: AI-Augmented Comic Book Creation and Narrative Generative System
摘要
The necessity to have more visually involved storytelling introduced the necessity to investigate more the artificial intelligence (AI)-based creative systems. ComicCrafter is proposed as an AI-refined application that will help produce comic books and compose stories, that integrates natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and generative art algorithms to ensure that the entire process of producing a comic book is less people-intensive. Conventional methods consist of scriptwriting, illustration, storyboarding, and paneling and are time-consuming and need manual collaboration. On the other hand, ComicCrafter uses algorithms to transform textual prompt or story outline to flow-based narrative based comics so that users can focus on thematic and artistic refinement rather than monotonizing their output. It uses the multi-stage pipeline of narrative generation, character and dialogue generation, and panel organization generation and synthesis of illustrations through AI. Big Language Models (LLM) are being used to generate coherent plot, dialogues and character arcs, but diffusion-based image generation models generate fashionably consistent images in accordance with the narrative. Additionally, the graph algorithm simplifies panel sequencing and transition between scenes, which logically follows and makes sense. The platform allows creators to streamline text and visual by filling loops of feedback, which allows balancing automation and individualization. The experimental evaluation has demonstrated that ComicCrafter saves time during production, enhances the storytelling uniformity, and allows the consumers to make comics by hiring professional artists and amateur storytellers simultaneously.
