One of the most uncertain and devastating agents that affect a residential or business setting is a fire emergency. The major window for intervention of authorities is usually determined in several minutes. Moreover, human responders have to face severe risks when entering potentially dangerous sites [11]. This research project outlines these challenges by coming up with an autonomous fire fighter bot called Ember Eraser. It is meant to offer instant aid to put down fires without compromising the safety of the humans at risk. With embedded systems, technology and smart sensors, we have developed a cost-effective solution to be used as a single entity which works automatically. The system has serious features for fire detection [12], autonomous navigation [9] and targeted suppression using a water based system. We have documented in the paper, our design process, choosing of various components, software architecture and testing protocols. The research shows that automatic systems can be used as first responders in smaller areas, where the usual, old fire extinguishing methods can be inconvenient or expensive. Our project supports emerging research in the direction of safety robotics [8], by showing that advanced automation is possible by carefully combining simple and dependable elements [10].

摘要
