Coagulopathies
摘要
Coagulopathies are a group of medical conditions characterized by abnormal blood clotting caused by various factors, including deficiencies of clotting factors and fibrinogen, liver disease, poor clearance of activated factors, activation of the coagulation and fibrinolytic systems, and loss of hemostatic proteins. These conditions can lead to irreversible clotting disorders that may be life-threatening if untreated. The purpose of this chapter is to provide an overview of coagulopathies, focusing on hemophilia A and B, which are considered genetic diseases that significantly impact the quality of life of those affected. Advancements in treatment for persons with hemophilia, such as extended half-life coagulation factors, non-factor replacement therapies, rebalancing treatment agents, and gene therapies with a prophylactic approach, have improved life expectancy.
