Anomalies of the female genital tract comprise a variety of developmental defects that may be present immediately after birth and during childhood, adolescence, or adulthood. Disorders of sex development (formerly known as intersex) describe disorders that result in ambiguous or abnormal genitalia. In contrast, Müllerian duct anomalies result in abnormal development of internal genital organs. In this chapter, we discuss diagnosis and management of common female genital tract anomalies.
