摘要
In this chapter, I reflect on the natureNature and valueValues of science as a way of thinking and understanding the world. These sixteen texts explore science’s relationship with truthTruth, its resistance to dogmaResistance to dogma, and its opennessOpenness to uncertaintyUncertainties. I argue that science is not just a body of knowledge, but a cultural and intellectual pursuit that belongs to everyone. I examine how scientific thinkingScientific thinking can shape democratic societiesDemocratic societies and why it must be communicated clearly and responsibly. Through personal reflections and examples, I advocate for a deeper public engagementPublic engagement with science—one that goes beyond entertainment and fosters curiosity and critical thought. My goal is to make science accessible without losing its complexityComplexity, and to encourage readers to think carefullyThink carefully and attentively. These texts are written in a direct and engaging style, inviting reflection on ideas that are both profound and urgent. These reflections are not intended as definitive claims, but as invitations to examine the strengths and limits of scientific knowledge with intellectual humility and openness.
