This study describes a cloud-based system for real-time monitoring and performance evaluation of distributed controlled plants in a multi-floor manufacturing facility. The system uses the programmable logic controller (PLC) and industrial gateway which enables remote programming, operation of transport gate, monitoring, fault detection, fault diagnosis and control. The research introduced is concerned with operation in multilevel industrial plant, within which the intranet and internet servers and cloud networks for communication between equipment are replaced thus enabling automatic monitoring/internal control robotization/measures to avoid accidents at object of operation as well as remote programming. Several performance factors, namely reaction time, reliability and efficiency are evaluated against alternative routing and access point devices – for instance DX2100 and ESP-based solutions. The results demonstrate how cloud-based industrial monitoring can improve operational effectiveness and reduce system outages.

摘要
