Twenty-three percent of medical school graduates reported debt of over $300,000, and 67% of graduates reported some medical education debt. The cost of attendance at US medical schools has increased at a pace surpassing that of inflation, with a median 4-year cost of attendance for private schools for the Class of 2024 at $390,848. This chapter will discuss ways to manage student loan debt.
