College students often struggle to buy the items needed for their college, such as lab equipment, electronics, books, etc., but these needs are usually temporary. Students at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) relied on messaging apps for this purpose, however, these messages were often overlooked due to a high volume of other conversations. To address this gap, IGDTUW_Marketplace was created to meet the needs of students, providing them with a dedicated platform to buy, sell, and exchange essentials seamlessly within their university community. It is built using the MERN stack and Firebase for login, so only students of the university can use it. The website provides a dashboard to track your buy and sell history. The future enhancements include a secure payment gateway for transactions and an integrated chat feature that enables direct communication between the user and the buyer, which will further improve the efficiency of the platform.
