An Integrated Hardware and Software System for Healthcare Assistance and Rehabilitation: A Tool for Education
摘要
This paper presents the design and development of an integrated healthcare assistance system intended for practical applications and educational purposes. The system combines the acquisition of biological signals (electrocardiogram and electromyography), user posture and environmental monitoring, with an active rehabilitation module in the form of an EMG-controlled arm prosthesis. The integration of all components allows real-time data collection and correlation, providing students with a practical platform to understand sensor functionality, biological signal processing, and arm prosthesis control. This approach facilitates comprehension of the real-life applicability of medical technologies and promotes interdisciplinary skill development in bioengineering, robotics, and ergonomics.
