Static Lung Volumes: The Restrictive Ventilatory Defect
摘要
To understand and interpret data describing the subdivisions of lung volume, the clinician must be familiar with the testing process. This chapter begins by describing the laboratory processes of the spirometry, gas dilution, nitrogen washout, and plethysmography methods. The text then describes the construction of a formal report of test results, followed by a differential diagnosis of the restrictive ventilatory defect. It concludes with a description of the physiological basis for these test results.
