Opinion: On RNA, Virus, and Groups
摘要
How RNA group interactions underlie and integrate the evolution of life seems a counterintuitive question, as we have long accepted the central role of DNA in evolution. Furthermore, the fact that most such RNA interactions stem from viruses and parasitic ancestral agents (junk) also seems illogical from a gene-centric perspective. And finally, that such RNA interactions behave and evolve in interacting groups does not appear to adhere to Darwinian mechanisms, which operate on the fittest type and incorporate error-based events as the basis of adaptation. Yet these are the main premises being considered in this book, which are well justified.
