Accepting the growth of technology as a fact, healthcare has been changed to depths that have never been previously witnessed, offering new innovations to enhance the quality of treatment for patents. The technologies under this paradigm that could bring a positive social change as far as healthcare service delivery is concerned are included, with the Medical IoT (Internet of Things) being one of the key beneficial technological innovations. Due to integration of interconnected devices, sensors, and applications, the Medical Internet of Things (MIoT) offers monitoring, real-time analytics, and tailor-made therapy for patients, thus enabling the healthcare experts to offer enhanced patient care. It is essential to focus on Medical Internet of Things as the major factor that can achieve better patient outcomes, optimize the utilization of available resources, and promote the ideology of personalized proactive health management. This is made feasible through the application of such technologies as AI, cloud, and wearables among others. However, there are several critical issues that must be addressed regarding data security, compatibility, and compliance with legislative requirements in order to expand the use of the Internet of Things in the field of healthcare. Among various sectors of the economy, healthcare stands to benefit significantly from the potential of the IoT revolution, which can enable the development of patient-centered services and usher in a new era of healthcare advancement. This can be achieved through enhanced cooperation between the stakeholders, provision of strong physical and communication infrastructure, and above all comprehensive measures in privacy. Stating its advantages, disadvantages, and potential development trends, this chapter aims to discuss how the concept of the IoT can affect the sphere of medicine and its approach to the clients.
